New Project - "The Power of One" One Photo/One Word

Finally… a new project.

“The Power of One.”

One picture/One word.

It’s been a minute since my 2017 project titled “One Frame” allowed me to share the brilliant images of world class photographers. I simply asked them what was their most memorable image AND what was the backstory? Plenty of tales unfolded and the picture(s) selected weren’t always their most famous capture; rather, their favorite frame. As we know, this isn’t always one and the same. It was a truly memorable experience and I was honored to have them as a guest on my blog.

This time around… I’m going solo and will blend photography & the written word in a very straight forward, simplistic manner… One Photo - One Word.

We live in an era of “ambient news grazing” whereby readers rarely do more than glance at fragments of information. It is estimated that 80% of readers skim a headline and move on within 15 seconds. Even short-form articles… under 1,000 words… only capture attention keep readers engaged for around for 57-60 seconds… and then they move on. A small improvement.

With these stats in mind, I’ll keep it simple and try to keep readers engaged for 16 seconds! Our world of perpetual distraction is in need of repair. I’m on it.

I’ll post weekly and/or monthly and continue until I’ve had my fill.
